Rwanda : Sterilising saloon tools is essential for our healthy

With large numbers of people in Rwanda visiting saloons for different services, cleanliness of the saloon tools is crucial. These services are important for the purposes of maintaining a healthy look and relaxation.

Hair cutting tools and pedicure equipments that includes nail files, nail clippers, pedicure bowls or tubs, nail brushes, and pumice stones must be cleaned and disinfected to kill germs and harmful bacteria.

Cleanliness is a concern when a pedicurist works on several people with the same equipment. For the sake of avoiding a bacterial outbreak, it’s essential to sterilize pedicure tools.

Many saloons have sterilizing machines and other small saloons do not have. Though cleanliness is maintained in these saloons, customer should buy tools or look for the saloon with required machines for the better sanitation.

At hair deluxe saloon for men and pedicure and manicure services, located at La Bonne addressee house every machine is kept in the sterilizer after use waiting for another customer. In there, high temperature is meant to kill the germs and bacteria got from ones skin during hair cutting.

However, sterilizing might not be done to every tool for example pumice stones. Nail cutters, shavers, filers and other metallic equipments can be sterilized but the few left ones like pumice stones or even the towels can transmit the infectious diseases.

This is why it’s very healthy to take along your tools while going to the saloon especially for the pedicure.
