The director of Kibungo hospital Dr. William Namanya called on girls to come and take the cervical cancer vaccine after many people telling them that this vaccine could prevent them from getting pregnant

The doctor said this while in GS Musya in Rurenge sector where they were doing this act of vaccinating girls against cervical cancer.

He added on saying that “they should get this vaccine since this disease is evident here in Rwanda adding on that even in Kibungo hospital they get about 10 people with it a year”.

Acting on countries that say that this vaccine prevents girls from getting pregnant, the doctor said that “this vaccine is not for getting pregnant adding on that it was a good one without any aftermaths”.

The assistant mayor of Ngoma in charge of social welfare Providence Kirenga called on parents to send their children so that they do not lose the chance of getting the vaccine.

She said that “there hope was that no girl should lose this opportunity since it’s not a common one adding on that teachers in schools from where this cat is carried out should see to it that every girl gets the vaccine in any way possible”.

This is the third time this cervical cancer vaccine is given out here in Rwanda and it is being carried out countrywide. Girls in this case are vaccinated against getting this cancer.
