Marcel Kambanda, worker at CDLS advising residents to test for HIV/AIDS so that the infected persons join associations.

People living with HIV/AIDS in Ruhango district have been asked to form associations so that it becomes easy to get help.

The coordinator of CDLS (HIV/AIDS control committee) in Ruhango district, Marcel Kambanda discloses that the government plans to help HIV/AIDS patients but through cooperatives and associations.

“Our purpose is to help infected persons but we do after they form associations,” Kambanda notes.

Kambanda urges all residents to carry out voluntary HIV testing to know their statuses.

This way, those with HIV/AIDS will join others in associations and enjoy the governments program that helps such people.

Presently, there are so many projects for the people living in Ruhango district. This is why different authorities are sensitizing people to go for HIV testing.
