Rwanda | Ngororero: Residents cautioned over malaria increase

After some residents slowed down on malaria prevention, Health authorities in Ngororero district have called on residents to continue sleeping under treated mosquito nets because malaria is not yet eradicated.

Residents without mosquito nets are asked to collect them from health centres with the help of community health workers.

Because some are still suffering from this disease, residents have embraced this program as J.M.V Muganza in charge of health explains.

The biggest number of residents that go to health centres and hospitals in Ngororero district to get free mosquito nets include malaria patients.

However, they confess to have received bed nets earlier which they did not use as required.

It’s in this line that residents are sensitized on using bed nets before they are given to them.
