Health workers who act as Group sensitizers in Nyabihu district were called upon to be the exemplary and take the first step in sensitizing people of the diseases caused by lack of hygiene.
The group sensitizers in the forum for People infected with HIV/AIDS in Nyabihu district (RP+) were asked to prevent diseases caused by unhygienic conditions and sensitize other people about such diseases as Pierre Dusenge the health official in Nyabihu district explained where the group advisors were being taught how to purify water.

Residents of Nyabihu district are not usually affected by diseases like malaria because of the consistent cold weather but are most of the times affected by colds, flu, cough and unhygienic related diseases like diarrhea, Dysentery as Dr. Prosper Gataliki the director of Rwankeri health center explained.
The health workers in RP+ in the district are active and have been known for following the advice given to them related to health especially on sensitizing people on not procreating when infected by AIDS, family planning, avoiding new AIDS infections, preventing diseases caused by lack of hygiene and in this training, they were asked to be exemplary in this fight.
They were taught how to use Pure and sur’eau in purifying drinking water and they are to teach other people in their campaign of being the first to prevent the unhygienic diseases.
