Youth to lead the fight against AIDS

While preparing to attend national service, youth in Rubavu District have taken up to gear the fight against AIDS, a pandemic  that highly  claim massive lives, leave many orphans, widows/widowers and leave families in poverty.

Secondary school leavers preparing to start national service in Rubavu district were told to go near residents and help them in AIDS prevention as its part of their responsibility to fight improve residents’ standards of living.

Up to 1800 youth in Rubavu say that they intend to sensitize residents on embracing government programs such as fighting soil erosion, family planning, fighting Aids through HIV testing and preventing disasters.

Youth are optimistic that national service will give them opportunity to serve and build their country through development activities they will be participating in during three months time.
