To achieve mutual insurance coverage 100 percent, Rusizi district has started sensitising residents to contribute for insurance before february 20th 2013 and to prepare 2013-2014 payments in time.

Sensitisation campaign started with an aim of making residents embrace health insurance program and to contribute for  2013-2014 before the end of February 2013.

Athanase Baginama, in charge of mutual health program in Rusizi district reveals that though the coverage is 75percent, they will do everything possible to bring it to 100percent in a period of one month.

Baginama asserts that residents have understood the importance of embracing mutual health program and they sensitise fellow residents to pay on time.

Some of the challenges faced include residents who intentionally refuse to pay health insurance hoping they will not fall sick throughout the year.

Baginama advised residents to fully embrace this program and prepare for the coming year 2014 since good health is the most important to everyone.

Sensitisation campaign started in Mururu, Nyakabuye and Gitambi sectors and its hoped that health insurance coverage will be 100percent by February 20th 2013.
