Nyabihu district is one of the 7 districts in western province of Rwanda which comes in the 2nd position after Kigali city to have many people infected with HIV/AIDS. Rwanda in general made resolutions to reduce the number of AIDS patients and districts also made objectives to eradicate AIDS scourge as health Advisors, local leaders, health centers, associations, and many others are working hard to see to the end of this scourge.
Jean Pierre Ayingoma a worker of Rwanda Bio-medical Center in the meeting with those that fight AIDS in Nyabihu district, he asked the local leaders to do all necessary to eradicate AIDS and to protect their residents in any possible way by sensitizing them especially advising them to use the 3 ways of being safe which is abstinence, faithfulness and using condoms in case of failure to abstain.
He said that condoms should be talked upon, distributed and used as the only to prevent AIDS as people participate in unprotected sex and are unfaithful to their spouses. People should be sensitized that condoms are not only for prostitutes but can be used when necessary and can save lives.

Their objective is to eradicate AIDS and to reduce the number of its patients in Nyabihu district as they go around telling people of its dangers and how it can be prevented.
She went on to say that in general meetings, open discussions, community work, health centers, they are not afraid to give their testimonies and to warn people about the dangers of AIDS, its causes, how to behave when already infected, the advantages of testing for AIDS and everything else and through all these, they hope to support the district in achieving the performing contract of reducing the number of AIDS patients.
